SUMMARY

DETAILS
Please follow the steps listed below.

  1. Open up Outlook Express
  2. Goto "Tools" -> "Accounts"
  3. Select your email account from the list and click the properties button.
  4. Goto the "Servers" tab.
  5. Towards the bottom under "Outgoing mail server", check the box next to "My server requires authentication".
  6. You can leave the details under the "settings button" unchanged, or if you go into the settings make sure "use same settings as incoming mail server" is selected.
  7. Click "Ok"
  8. Click "Close"

You can then continue to use Outlook Express as you regularly would.
