When trying to delete a Visual Studio created?application with FTP, you may receive an error message saying that the directory is not empty and cannot be removed.
A Visual Studio.NET created application is set up as a FrontPage subweb which contains many hidden directories and files used by FrontPage.? It is not possible to remove these files with FTP.
To remove a Visual Studio.NET created project from the webserver, follow the instructions below:
- Logon to the control panel at http://helm01.outsourceis.com:8086/
- Go to FrontPage Tool
- Click on Manage FrontPage Extension link
- Enter your username and password when prompted
- In the SubWebs section, click Delete a subweb
- Select the name of the application you wish to delete?from the drop down box
- Click Delete SubWeb
