Common Frontpage 2000 Problems

Many FrontPage errors can be fixed by recalculating FrontPage links. Amongst some of the issues that recalculating links will resolve are:
  1. Errors when submitting a FrontPage form
  2. Errors when deleting a file or folder in FrontPage
  3. Errors when using FrontPage search form.
To recalculate links in FrontPage open your FrontPage web on our server by going to the "File" menu and selecting "Open Web..."

Next, type in your domain like this: "http://www.yourdomainname.com", where yourdomainname is your actual domain name.. If you just ordered with us or have not transferred your domain name yet, enter "http://" followed by the IP address you were assigned. Hit "Open."

Now, type in your FTP username and password. Hit "Okay."

Once your web is open, go to the "Tools" menu and select "Recalculate Hyperlinks..."

You will see this dialog box. Hit "Yes." It may take a few minutes to complete the process.

Now just use FrontPage as you normally do.
